  • At a State Museum fundraiser tonight in Trenton, the Remembering 9/11 exhibit opens. Gov. Chris Christie makes remarks; he's joined by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.
  • Late this morning, Christie heads to Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall to announce the new executive director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. Multiple reports last night said it's John Palmieri, who headed economic development efforts in Boston for more than three and a half years.
  • New Jersey Turnpike Authority meets in Woodbridge. Agenda includes an agreement to make quarterly payments to the state through 2016 to fund state transportation projects that aren't on the turnpike or Garden State Parkway.
  • Department of Environmental Protection holds a public hearing in Trenton regarding the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co.'s proposal to build 18 miles of new pipeline through northern New Jersey, much of it on state-owned land in High Point State Park, Ringwood State Park and Long Pond Ironworks State Park.
  • Reporters get a tour of the Empty Sky Memorial at Liberty State Park being dedicated this Saturday at Liberty State Park in Jersey City to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness director Charles McKenna is joined by Rick Cahill, chairman of the New Jersey 9/11 Memorial Foundation; Raymond Arcario, deputy executive director of the state Treasury Department's Division of Project Management & Construction; and Jessica Jamroz, co-architect of the memorial.
  • Assembly Republican Policy Committee holds a roundtable discussion at the Statehouse focused on lowering the cost of health care. Invited participants include representatives of hospitals, doctors, health care advocacy groups, business, public employee unions and governmental associations.
